October Break

Our much anticipated vacation to the beach for
October Break
was filled with all kinds of fun. Stephanie's parents
didn't attend due to another kind of break just days
before departure. Someone, let's call her Grace,
decided to take a "trip" early and broke her arm.
We missed them and look forward to next Spring.
(I don't want to jinx it by saying the Break part)!

The boys lounging after a hard day in the ocean

Apparently, the "Grace gene" has been passed
on to Alli. While playing with her shadow on the
ledge, she turned to make it smaller and landed on
the large boulders below. She was so stunned, she
continued to lay there as the waves crashed over her.
Jim checked her over and I washed the algae and sand out
of her hair. Nothing broken, just bruised.
(she also had bruising on her shoulder, hip and foot)

Grandma & Grandpa Fillmore visited half way through
the week. They played games with the kids and
we had our traditional pizza and salad night.
This is Grandma checking out Jim surfing.

Check out the itty bitty EEL!

All kinds of treasures were found in the tide pools

Blake's answer to sun block!

It's hard to see, but she did this with a shovel.

Creative kids, eh?

The artist being cheesy

The octopus the boys found would not
get off of Dallin's arm. It started climbing
and he started freaking out (but in a macho, cool kind of way)!

The kids named it Sealio. He stayed nearby for
four days. They wanted to pet it, but Mom said...
...NO!

This guy can build anything.

We had perfect weather and we can't wait to return!

looks like you guys had so much fun! What a bunch of sand artists you have. And Dallin, impressive that you could build anything out of that mix match set...we tried, and really could not get anything to work for us. Is Blake losing that red hair?? What a bunch of beach bums and babes you all are! Glad mom said no to touching Sealio!!:)
So sad to see your wounds Alli, what a tough girl! Ethan, did you do anymore "lazy" surfing? and Zoe, are you already a cheerleader!? Wow, I just don't see enough of you cute kids.
